But Roman King Claudius did not like this thing of Saint Valentine at all. The king believed that love and marriage affect the intelligence of men and they deviate from their goals.
That’s why the Roman kings did not allow soldiers and officers to marry. Saint Valentine was unhappy with this,
so he opposed it and inspired people towards love. The kings did not like Saint Valentine’s promotion of love and marriage and he got angry and got Valentine arrested.
After this, Saint Valentine was hanged on 14 February in 269 BC. Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on 14 February in the memory of Saint Valentine and on this day people express their love for each other.
